Jia... All the best to you!

CSM is officially another staff short today.

It's Jia jia's last day today and she'll be off to Johor Bahru to start a new life - new environment, new office, new colleagues, new house but SAME BOYFRIEND.

I still remember she asked for my MSN address on my second day at work.
The first thing I said to her was "Everyone seems to be very fierce and scary!"
From that sentence on, we became very close.

Though I've been giving her loads of shts at work - requesting this & that...
In turn, you gave me loads of lousy excuses...
But everyone in CSM will miss you heaps - that's for sure!

Lastly, I would like to wish you all the best... and "play safe"!
Hahahahaha!!!

p/s: Make sure when you get married, wear a gown-lah - for god sake! And make it sometime soon ok?

Wake up SMS all the way from Newcastle

SMS came in at 7:43am from Simon P. Aimers.
It reads "Hi. Can you get this?"

I was shocked when I see his name on my pathetic looking Sony Ericsson K700i screen.
I got up right away and replied "Yes of course dear. And good morning!"

But I didn't get any reply from him after that.
My assumption is that he must have fallen asleep.

SMS came in again at 4:10pm.
8 hours 33 minutes after the very first message.
No doubt my assumption was right.
He was asleep.

His reply was "Wow. I had no idea that would work. Is this your mobile? Im still in bed but i need to get up for work. Im lazy. Hehe. You having a good day babe? x"

Of course it works silly.

-------------------------------------

Simon was my coursemate back in Uni.
We shared the same FYP supervisor - Mr. Frank Pino.
Pino was always late and always mixed up my meeting with Simon's.
That's how we met.
Outside Pino's room.

We had fabulous time together back then.
He was my tour guide / shoulder to cry on / advisor.
Unfortunately, the only picture I have of him was in my Panasonic mobile phone.
And i broke it.
=(

Do you have any picture of us, Simon?
And you still owe me a trip with your caravan!

Outcome of a 2 hours internal meeting

We had an internal meeting/discussion today.
Meeting lasted for 2 hours.

I've had these (below) at the end of the meeting.

Hahahaha! Shocking isn't it?

However, I do have some important notes jotted down.
My soul was in the meeting after all.
LOL!

If I had my child to raise over again

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger paint more, and point finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less and to know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often.
I would be firm less often and affirm much more.
I'd model less aboout the love of power,
And more about the power of love.

"Transparent"

Did you guys have any problem reading my entries?
Do texts come out fine?
Or do you guys need to highlight them in order to read?

Feedback please...
Cause texts seem to be "transparent" to me...
If you guys have a solution to it...
That will be much appreciated...

The 007 mission failed

The gang wanted to catch 007 Casino Royale @ The Curve.
We thought that we can be hero , and get 9 tickets without booking them in advance.
Yes indeed, we can get 9 tickets on that night IF we wanted to - left with 1st and 2nd row from the screen. Thus, our mission failed on that day.

We ended up having dinner @ Kluang Station, Ikano then headed back home for football match. Nasi Lemak @ RM3.80 and Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken @ RM7.80 are highly recommended! They are yummylicious!
I was so eager for it that I've forgotten to snap a pic of it to share with y'all.
Sorry!

You can even try the Hainanese Chicken Chop as well. According to Don, they are delicious too!

On the way to get my car, realized they have Free Buggy Service @ The Curve, car park. How lazy can we get?!?! But it's cool though.. Hehehe... The friendly buggy driver offered me a ride but my car is just too near to the entrance... Maybe next time... =)

Tjaun and bear bear

The usual Fridays, Tjaun came looking for me during lunch time. He was in purple that day. With his tie (above), he was totally matching with the bear in his car. Aren't they cute?

My not-so-new office...

Been here for 4 months now...
And realized I've not introduce my 2nd home to you guys...
Here goes...

My cubicle - the cleanest and most tidy cubicle in the office.
Yes. I am very particular. I can't work in messy environment. Luckily I have my own cubicle and it's not an open office. If it is, I think I'll shout at my boss's son - the Account Manager that sits right next to me - very messy cubicle indeed. Sigh. But then again, he has loads of work to do. No doubt his cubicle is more messy. Muahahaahaa!

(Top left) - Postcard from a friend
(Center) - Darren & I
(Right most) - My buddies - Poon, Don, Tay & Tjaun

Year 2007 schedule, Rules & Regulations (dealing with tobacco company, this is crucial) and other important notes.

Up close and personal with "my cubicle". =P

Drew this myself - I'll swap drawings every morning based on my mood for that day. Some of the things that I do to entertain myself at work.

My tiny aquarium at work. Not too many fishy. Cause not enough space for them to swim around. And I do not have the time to scout for plants for them. This is located right behind me. I can just turn around and feed them. Hehehe!

The good, the bad & the drunkards

I came across these pictures from a friend of mine and it brings back loads of memories back in the U.K. Those were the best-est time ever! I'll just let those pictures to do the talking...

Taken in 2003 (maybe 2002.. can't remember)
@ Offshore, Staff Christmas Party - by invitation only.

Winyu & I

No, we are not couple. He's from Thailand, currently still studying in the U.K. The rest used to call us bro & sis. Coz they think we look alike.
Another with Winyu. I'm missing you loads, love! We had so much fun together. Take good care of yourself yeah.
Vicky, Myself & Fancy.
One with the girls. Vicky is one of the many girls that I am still keeping in touch with. She's the loveliest among all the locals that I've met. And of course, Fancy, the ever so caring friend. Love you girls heaps!

Myself, Dan & (oops... I've forgotten her name)
The ever so chubby, lovely, caring and full of nonsense Dan. We were the so-called "couple" in Offshore. He even meet up with my mum during my convocation. Hah! He's the only guy that I am still keeping in touch with from Offshore. Feel proud, Dan?
Love you heaps, hun!
Ari & Kirsty
Ari happens to be my housemate during our last semester in Uni. Kirsty, forever lovely and huggable. She'll just squeeze you whenever she sees you. By the way, I got all these pictures from her. Thanks dear!

The guys
(from left to right)
Chris, Mladen, Dan, Mike & Alex.

These pictures bring back a lot of memories. Though it's tough to juggle between Uni. and work, but it's all worth it. I got to know one whole bunch of lovely people that cares and loves me when I am miles and miles away from home. I love you guys to the max!

The Reds need to fight harder...

The Reds are currently 14 points behind leaders Manchester United.
(Yes... I said leaders Man. Utd)

"We can't change what's happened in the other games and we should not think about any of the other teams." said Benitez. "All we can do is concentrate on ourselves and work harder." added The Liverpool boss.

Can they still win a title?
Is it still realistic?

I am very disappointed at their performance this season...
And last season...

Something needs to be done...

Memory lost or Denying?

He called this morning...
His blood pressure raised up HIGH...
I can sense the heat from his head through the receiver...

Knowing his attitude...
I jotted down his intructions clearly in my little book...
Ok... maybe I've left a little bit here and there...
I'm not gonna deny that...

But then again...
Yesterday he came back with comments and requested to resend the mail...
An hour later he came back with more comments...
Knowing the recipient/client is a pain in the arse...
I am stuck in the middle...

I do not wish to get him into trouble as well...
That's for sure...
But please bare in mind that it is new to me...
Do not expect rainbow during hurricane...

Was it miscommunication between the two of us...
Was it memory lost due to the fact that there are so many things happening to him at the moment...
Or was it denying from the other party?
I seriously do not know...

All I know is that I am just doing him a favour...
And trying my very best to make sure everything is right...
But one thing I know for sure...
Is that he needs to know how to control his temper...

I guess he has transformed himself to having the same attitude as the client...
If he is frustrated when he faces that particular client...
He should know how the rest of us would feel when we faces him in these walls...
Maybe he should deliver the message across in a different manner...
Just to minimize the misery in everyone...

We are human after all...
Human makes mistakes...
We are not perfect...
Nobody will be perfect...

Sleepless nights...

Alas,
Tears filled up her eyes last night,
She couldn’t hold on to it anymore,
Pillows and bolsters were wet,
She woke up with swollen eyes.

Making herself busy at work,
Trying to get her mind off of him,
Subconsciously, she knows,
She loves him very much to forego everything.

Can she live in a relationship,
Without communication between them,
Is this the best medicine,
To cure the pain in her,
To salvage the relationship.

She has no answers………

Not this time...

She went to take her car this morning,
And found out that her car wasn't locked,
She was not surprised,
She was not shocked,
She wasn't herself when she got home last night.

Last night,
She left his place with a broken heart,
She got in the car and stepped on the accelerator,
She left her mind and soul with him,
Not knowing what was happening during the journey home,
All she knew was that the others were quite slow on the road.

This morning,
He called,
He said sorry,
She knew this was gonna happen.

He will avoid and ignore the topic,
Thinking that everything will be just fine the next morning,
Pretending that nothing has happened,
But she just couldn't take it that way.

It has always been this way,
She will forgive and try to forget,
Just to salvage the relationship,
But somehow, she is still full with unanswered questions.

Not this time,
She doesn't want him to apologize,
Without knowing what was wrong,
Without having the heart to get things right,
She doesn't want to forgive and forget,
Really not this time.

Their relationship seems like an object of his at home,
And object for his home decorative or entertainment,
When he first gets it, he'll treasure it most,
He'll find ways to make that object prominent, more attractive,
But the longer he has it, he tends to forget the value of it,
That object will still be an object lying around somewhere,
She feels like an object.

She knows...

She knows that truth might hurt,
She knows why he hides it,
She knows she will never get the answer out of him,
But she just couldn’t keep it inside her.

She took the courage to ask,
She was hoping for a tiny bit of honesty,
He was avoiding,

He was pretending.

She was let down,
She was hurt,
So much that he will never understand.

She knew she’ll always be second,
She was just hoping,
That time will change everything,
That her effort will be worthwhile,
But she was wrong.

She just couldn’t stop that feeling inside her,
That feeling of being torn apart,
That feeling of being taken for granted,
That feeling of not being able to share her ups & downs with him.

She just wants honesty from him, though it might hurt,
She just wants to know the truth,
Nothing but the truth.

Honesty is her key to everything….

Happy Girlfriend & Sister's Week!

A friend of mine send this to me and I would like to share the below 2 images...
Happy girlfriend & sister's week!!
God bless...

Ants & Death

Incident 1:

A little boy died because surgeons found ants in his brain! Apparently this boy had fell asleep with some sweets in his mouth or with some sweet stuff beside him. Ants soon got to him and some ants in fact crawled into his ear which somehow managed to go to his brain. When he woke up, he did not realize that ants had gone to his head. After that, he constantly complains about itchiness around his face. His mother brought him to see a doctor but the doctor could not figure out what was wrong with him. He took an X-ray of the boy and to his horror, he found a group of live ants in his skull. Since the ants ar e still alive, the doctor could not operate on him because the ants are constantly moving about. The boy at last died.

Incident 2:

Another similar incident happened in the hospital in Taiwan . This man was warded in the hospital and was constantly warned by the nurses not to leave food stuff by his bedside for there are ants about. He did not heed their advice. Ants finally got to him. His family members said that the man constantly complained about headaches. He died and a post mortem or autopsy was done on him. Doctors found a group of live ants in his head. Apparently, the ants had been eating bits of his brain.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not know how true this is, but there are possibilities that this might happen.
Better be safe than sorry, right?

So please be careful when you leave food beside your bed or when you are eating in bed. This might attract ants.

Candlelight party with Steve

The timer for Steve's aquarium stopped at 7:45pm.
Everything just went pitched black ever since.

I got home at 10:45pm and realized there isn't any light from any of the units.
The whole building was not lighted.
"Sht, I hope the lift is working."
"Damn, I don't wanna be alone in the house."
That came across my mind when I was standing by the road side, not knowing what to do.
I picked up the phone and called Steve.
"Kor, where are you? No electricity at home."
Steve was somewhere nearby getting his car washed.
"Faster get back, I'll wait for you in the car."
I was told to wait for another 15-30 minutes.
5 minutes gone... 15 minutes... 25 minutes.... then my phone rang!
Steve said "Karen, my car key is locked inside the car. They left my car key in there. Stupd. Come over and get me so I can get the spare key from home."
Shoot...! How horrible can things go in 1 day?

At 11:30pm...
Steve and I decided to stop by 7-11 to get candles and junk food...
"We're gonna have candlelight party!" says Steve.
Both of us stared at the aquarium... watching those poor fishy swimming around aimlessly... With Cottage Fries and my mini fan in our hands whilst waiting for the electricity to come back on...

Finally...
Electricity came back on at 12:45am...
Took them 5 hours to get it fixed?!??!
How efficient is that?!?

Finally... & oh no..!

At last... I'm done manually re-posting some of my old entries from friendster blog to here...
Took me ages to do this... Was having a little trouble adding images in the post...
Thank GOD I manage to find a solution to it... *phew...*

-------------------------------------

Yesterday we (Darren, his sis and I) went to Sg. Wang to shop for a dress...
And Gosh! *I'm not gonna say I'm fat...* BUT... I don't have a waist...!!

Let me repeat... I do not have a waist!!
Oh my... Shocking shocking...!!!

Is it me... or is it those dresses that I tried on?
Have I been eating too much... and lacking of exercise?
Or is the no-waist-cutting the trend now? I do hope so...

Anyways, managed to get a simple but nice dress at the end of the day...
Not too expensive... I don't intend to spend much on this... cause it's not my wedding... ehhehe
Will upload a pic of it when I have the chance to snap a pic with it...

Happy 24th Birthday Darren!

28th October 2006

Birthday boy - Darren
Happy 24th Birthday Darren!
We went to The Curve for a little walk. Honestly speaking, there is absolutely nothing to shop @ The Curve. It is boring! However, if you wanna find a cosy and nice atmosphere to chill, The Curve @ The Walk is fantabulous!
We started off @ DOME cause Darren was a little hungry. He only had 2 slices of apple pie specially made by his sister for lunch, which is absolutely delicious.
Darren bought marshmallow coated with chocolate at the bazaar for me. It was yummylicious!! Loved it! Loved it!

He then ordered his favourite Apple Crush @ RM10.95, which I think is pricey! However, it tasted really nice. I guess I can make it at home and charge him RM5.00 and I can still make a profit out of it.
I ordered my all time favourite from DOME, the Chicken & Mushroom Pie for Darren. His reaction out of his first bite was "Wahhh... absolutely fantastic!" Even though the pie was yummylicious, I personally think that they were quite stingy on the veggies. Look at the pathetic broccoli, tomatoes and carrots.
I had Chicken Sausage Rolls with Salsa Sauce. It was OK cause the sauce was tasteless.

Due to the fact that there wasn't any shops worth stopping by, we proceeded to Borders, sat down for a little while to read some of the magazines there. At about 7pm, Darren mentioned that Chelsea is gonna play Sheffield United @ 7.55pm, we decided to chill @ The Italiannies while waiting for the match to start. I absolutely seconded the idea cause I've reserved a table for dinner there.
I ordered their Lychee Martini @ RM18.90 and it is horrible! It does not taste like Lychee Martini at all. Not worth it. *2 thumbs down* *Booooooo*
Considering that I've pre-ordered everything for dinner, Darren was glued to the TV. "Hey... I need attention! Give me some attention! Else I'll start talking to the table." That was what I have to say the whole time to fish for some attention.
Stuffed Mushroom @ RM19.90 for starters. Oh la la... Absolutely yummylicious!! It it finger licking good... We loved it!! Totally recommended to mushroom lovers!
As for main course, I ordered Darren's favourite - Classic Carbonara and House Specialities - Chicken Milanese. Combination of two was absolutely delicious! However, the bacon in the Classic Carbonara was too hard for me cause they over fried it. But Darren loved it hard! *wink* Hahahaha!!

We were over stuffed after main course. I've actually arranged the Italiannies staff to get me a candle and place it on the dessert - Cappucino Pie for Darren as opposed to the traditional birthday cake. *Actually it's because I don't fancy cakes...ssshhh* I was very much looking forward to that dessert cause it looks absolutely delicious from the menu. Unfortunately, we both were too stuffed and had to cancel the order. =(
Overall, dinner @ Italiannies, The Curve was great! Our waiter, Fahmi gave us the most fabulous service. We will definitely go back there for more.

Lastly, Happy Birthday BB. Wishing you wonderful years ahead and lots of luck for your future undertakings! *muacks*

What was he thinking?

5th entry...

I found this really funny. It was raining heavily and that uncle decided to wash his car at that time. What was he thinking?

My assumption is that he wants to save money on water bills by washing his car and taking a shower under the heavy rain. How smart is that? Hehehehe....

Night out in town...

4th entry...

It has been ages since we last step foot in Bukit Bintang. Darren decided to bring me there for dinner considering there will be less jam yesterday because most of them are still back in "kampung". It's a Friday night and smooth flowing at that area is just wicked!

We had dinner @ Jalan Alor. It looks really different now. Shop lots were all refurbished. The road was from double lane to single lane now. However, humans are still not afraid of cars. That is the only thing remained after all these years. Hmmm....

I read my girl friend's blog today and she was telling us the coolness of a place called Garage in Australia. Girl, this post is a little similar as the Garage place you've mentioned.

You can park your vehicle in the garage, we can park by the road side. Nobody is gonna tow your car away. The car is just right in front of your eyes while dining. Nobody is gonna dare to scratch your car. Most importantly, you do not need to pay for carpark! How cool is that? *1 point to that*

You have pool table for entertainment, we have entertainers coming to your table and sing for you! You can even get them to sing your favourite song. *another point for that*

I had Fried Kuey Teow @ RM4.00. It was rather expensive for a fried kuey teow but it tasted alright. Incomparable to the 1 I had in Penang but it was OK.

Darren ordered his favourite Hokkien Mee & Meehoon @ RM5.00. Lots of prawn and pork and veggie. It is definitely worth the money!

Lastly, my all-time-favourite grilled stingray @ RM6.00! It is yummylicious!! The sauce is superbly spicy but it is amazingly delicious!! Loved it!!

So you see, the food here is much better! *another point for that*Muahahahahaaa!!

After dinner, Darren brought me to K.T.Z Food (Remember To Eat) @ Jalan Imbi. I was craving for their Mango Sago Loh for weeks. At last, I've got it! Yahooooo!!

Look at that!! It's yummylicious!! How can I resist??!?!?! Awesomeeeeee!! Yum yum yum yum yummyyyyyyy!!!

I ordered another dessert, Wall Band @ RM3.50. That's what they put on the menu. I have no idea what it is called. It's delicious!! It's first time tasting it for Darren and he fell in love with it instantly. He gave me a bite and he almost finished them all without giving me the chance to grab a few more.

How can I not gain weight with all those yummylicious food???!!?!?! But I just can't stop myself. Hahahahaa!!
